Is it the apocalypse?

I sensed something in the woods, it was moving slowly towards me. I could hear the twigs breaking and the dried leaves rustling. As it moved further adrenalin rushed through my veins and in a span of nanoseconds I drew my knife and threw it in the direction of the sound, due to my intense training lately the knife hit the target perfectly, which was the brain of "the walking dead". And as its body fell on the ground I woke up. "Phew, it was a dream, the apocalypse not here yet," I said wiping the sweat on my forehead and picked up my phone to check Instagram, the first story I saw read "Oxygen Cylinder Required". I wondered "Maybe it is here."

What do you think? Is it the apocalypse? I think the word apocalypse is stretching it too far, it is not like the sun is just feet away from us. I think it is a systemic failure. Coronavirus has come as a huge burden on the already collapsing medical infrastructure of this country and the new strain has exposed that. Some people are of the view that 'what can the government do, after all this virus is affecting the whole world', so to those ignorant people I want to say that it has been more than a year since a PANDEMIC started and what has been the government doing. Certainly not strengthening the medical facilities and no intentions of doing so even as I write this.

Our potential Beardo brand ambassador has made a decision to cancel his rallies in West Bengal, why so early it is not like almost all the phases of the election are over.

The annocument to cancel the rallies was made on 22nd April by the PM

We have lost so many people these past few weeks and the number is still rising, Hospitals are literally tweeting that they have just hours of oxygen left, nothing can be done now, maybe it is too late to do anything. However, just a few days ago the great democracy of India was celebrating the election festival in states like Bengal with thousands and thousands of people joining the election rallies which were addressed by none other than the PM and Home Minister of India.

The Covid restrictions limited the number of people to gather in an open space to 50 but that didn't apply to political rallies and hence the Election Commission had to step in (very late, but better late than never ) which ordered the number of people in a political rally to be reduced to 500, such a lifesaver. This shows that how deep the hands of this government go into the pockets of 'Autonomous" Institutions. Now how can we believe that this lifesaver of an Election Commission would be able to organise a free and fair election?

But why am I talking about the government and institutions in the face of a global as well as natural pandemic because our country sooner or later will recover from the pandemic, I know we will but the larger threat to the fabric of this country, the threat that amplifies all the other threats is a majoritarian government that gives two f**ks about the citizens of the country.

So the apocalypse is coming just in a different fashion. And the devil has a beard.

By the way, should I complete that dream story?
